Mountaineering
With its very individual parts and its numerous features of
natural interest, Učka offers a unique atmosphere for
climbers.
 A
map of the mountain region of the Lovran District describing
25 mountaineering trails and 9 mountain- biking trails is
available for purchase in our office, bookstores and in some
tourist agencies.
Lovran is the start of the Rijeka Climbing Route (symbol RT
or RPO), which leads over all the important peaks of the
district (Učka, Ćićarija, Obruč, Platak, Snježnik, Risnjak,
Tuhobić, Viševica, Grižane) and ends in Crikvenica. The
route can be done in its entirety in six or seven day.
NOTE:
- Every climb by individuals or groups should be
reported to the secretary of the County Climbing Federation
or to Lovran’s climbing clubs Knezgrad and T.R.I.S.
- Please follow the  signs on the paths and do not use
unmarked tracks.
- The more difficult footpaths require wearing strong sports
shoes or climbing boots. It is necessary to take water or
fruit juices and food
- Accidents are rare, but if there is a need, call the
Mountain Rescue Service. This service can be called via
police stations (phone 192) or Report Centres (phone 112).
